Any thoughts on the pop ups ads we started getting this year?
bonscott
There are some small ads on the live scoring and player pages, but no popup ads that's I've heard about. If you're getting popups then I'd suggest contacting support.

FYI this is nothing new, they were there last year too.

On the player information pages there are ads as well. Albeit banners...they sometimes expand to cover half the page, and you have to hit the little X to get rid of 'em. If you are researching players, you get em a lot! I agree...what a pain, when you pay for a site already! mad.gif

This has been rehashed a lot on various threads in the past year. Every site out there has ads on it. MFL much fewer then most. A search can probably find you those threads if you'd like to add your thoughts but ads aren't going away, it's just the way it is.

And as posted, FireFox and Adblock+ means you'll never see another ad again on the entire Internet let alone MFL's site. I don't know how people surf the web without it.

Yeah, just loaded up my live scoring site to have half of it blocked by a Sprint ad that required I click the [x] to see most of the page content. Yes, Firefox + plugins is an answer... but it shouldn't be the solution. I would MUCH rather they offered an ad free option. What are some of the other "for pay" alternatives out there and do they present ads in highly trafficked areas? CBS Football Commissioner?

Makes the site look damn tacky.

LOL. You're not serious are you? CBS has so many ads you can barely find your player listing. And 2-3 times the cost! ph34r.gif

There isn't a site out there that doesn't have ads. It's just the way the internet is today. MFL has the least amount of ads I've seen and it's very easy to block *all* ads on the Internet anyway, people shouldn't be using IE anymore anyway. wink.gif

But this has all been rehashed before on this site for the past 2 years. Search and you'll find those old threads and you'll see it all there. If you can find an ad free site out there, more power to ya (and let us know!)
